 SERRI Operations Manager
Ben Thomas

 

 

Benjamin (Ben) Thomas, Jr. provides program management support to the SERRI Program. Ben is specifically responsible for oversight of the Mississippi Research Initiative and the Regional Research and Operations Support Projects of SERRI. Ben has more than 30 years experience working on the DOE Oak Ridge Reservation. Over the last 10 years, Ben has worked closely with minority institutions to build technology related partnerships and to implement research collaborations with minority institutions (in particular Historically Black Colleges and Universities). Ben's most recent assignment prior to the SERRI Program was loan personnel to Tennessee State University to implement the mentor protégé agreement between TSU and the Y-12 National Security Complex (Oak Ridge, TN). Ben's undergraduate degree is from Tuskegee University and his graduate degrees are from The University of Tennessee-Knoxville.


SERRI Staff
David Landguth David C. Landguth provides technical support to senior management of the SERRI Program. He received his undergraduate degree in Geology from the University of Maryland, College Park, a Masters degree in Public Health (MPH) with a specialization in Environmental Occupational Safety and Health from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a Master of Arts in Homeland Security and Defense from the Naval Post Graduate School. He has extensive experience in: developing, implementing, and monitoring Public Health/Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety for numerous federal sponsors, Homeland Security Training, contracting, and development of technology transfer opportunities to provide homeland security technology solutions. Additionally, Mr. Landguth serves as a logistics specialist on the TN-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team for the National Disaster Medical System managed by the Department of Health and Human Services.
