Alert Messages could include NOAA weather warnings, homeland security notices, evacuation instructions, Amber Alerts, or school closings.

• The project is being applied in Oktibbeha County, Mississippi, and Mississippi State University (Starkville).
  
• The project will examine many issues which impact effective utilization of emergency alert systems in rural areas and on a university campus.

• The project will also help to evaluate how emergency alert systems can improve community resilience and how these devices may be integrated into households to become as common as smoke detectors.
